Bullying? No way! Week was championed on the 11th - 15th of August. In our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons, each class worked through what it means to be an UPSTANDER. They learnt four different ways to stand up for themselves and for others. The students really absorbed the information and have reported back trialling some of the techniques! If you’re interested in learning more, this is the video we watched to prompt discussion and guide our lesson. Check in with your child to see if they remember the difference between an Upstander (stands up for people) and a Bystander (stands by).

Are you feeling unsure or overwhelmed by parenting? The Australian Government has funded a free Positive Parenting Program, or the Triple P. It has a range of different foci and articles to help you feel more confident in parenting your child. Have a look here.
