Wellbeing Corner

We have already had some excellent visitors in our boarding programs this Term that support our value of ‘Respect’. Our fellas and Year 7 boarding houses have had visits from Wellbeing dogs – Ruby and Rafa – with students finding a lot of calm in their interactions with the pups. Students loved learning about co-regulation, and how spending time with animals can slow our heart rates down and help us to feel at ease.
Over at Biderap (our senior girls boarding house) we had our lovely friends from Djirra visit us to deliver their ‘Young Luv’ Respectful Relationships workshop to all students in Years 9-12. During this workshop, our girls learnt about ‘healthy’ and ‘unhealthy’ signs to look out for in relationships, how to respond to racism and what safe online behaviours can look like. We were really proud of how the girls dived into this workshop and supported each other by being caring and vulnerable.
