Garrawang - Senior Fellas

As we move into Term 3, Garrawang continues to strengthen the connections between our students, staff, and the wider community. Building positive relationships remains at the heart of what we do, and it has been fantastic to see the growth in brotherhood and support among the fellas.

Whether it is cheering each other on at sporting events, sharing a laugh together, or speaking up for a mate when there is a concern, they are showing what it means to be part of a supportive community. These moments, both big and small, reflect the positive culture being built within Garrawang and highlight the importance of respecting one another through the highs and the lows.

Garrawang is continuing to strengthen its connections with the current Year 8 cohort at Buarth Gurru, with the Senior fellas taking part in Student Chef every Saturday night. The Senior fellas cook dinner and dessert for the Year 8 students, creating opportunities to share a yarn, build relationships, and help bridge the gap as the younger fellas prepare to join our house next year.

Student Chef continues to provide the fellas with choice and opportunities to develop important life skills, including meal planning, food preparation, cooking, and making healthy food choices. The fellas are always keen to get in the kitchen, embracing the responsibility and showing respect for the task at hand.

We look forward to what the rest of term 3 has to offer.
