Poorneet

We are back for term three!!!

Here in Melbourne we are in the season of Guling “Orchid Season”. This time of the year, marks the end of the cold weather and the awakening of Spring.

This term, Poorneet welcomes three new students Kayden, Temelia and Logan all have come from the NT and have taken to Melbourne like water off a ducks back. Last week Kayden was made Captain of his footy team and has already been a Boarding House Captain too. 

Our Mob have been busy at school and just as busy in Boarding. During the last few weeks staff have taken them to play basketball at St Kevin's, kick the footy at a local park, footy practice with RFJC as well as working on their art pieces for this weeks Celebration of the Arts here at MITS.

We have visited the museum, went to Watermarc, they love Bounce and shopping at Melbourne Central to the girls going on the first supervised street leave. It’s all happening here. Our mob are growing, learning and experiencing Melbourne especially boarding life, the cold weather and growth this season brings.

Buarth Gurru

It has been a great term in the Year 8 Boys Boarding House, and we are very proud of how the Fellas continue to grow together as a boarding family.

The Fellas have shown growing maturity, respect and responsibility in their daily routines, while looking out for one another, helping around the house and sharing their ideas and talents.

Scotch College is back, supporting our mob with homework, hanging out and building connections. The Fellas have enjoyed fishing trips, yarning around the art table, basketball, kickboxing and footy training. Trips into Melbourne Central have also provided opportunities to build independence and represent themselves, their families and boarding community with pride.

During street leave, the Fellas continue to make good choices, look after one another and develop greater independence.

We are very proud of their growth and thank our families for their continued support and connection. We look forward to seeing the Fellas continue to grow and build strong connections.
