Pirates versus Mermaids

COSTUME UPDATE

Mermaids

Our mermaids have now all been fitted for their mermaid themed outfits and it was a delight to see them all smiling so much and gaining in excitement for our musical. This clothing will stay at school until our performance and as students have paid for them they may take them home to keep after the final performance.

All mermaids are encouraged to scavenge through their dress ups for extra ‘bling’ including but not limited to: tiaras, necklaces, bracelets, rings, sparkly earrings and hairclips etc. Nothing too precious as it may easily go missing.

These can be dropped to the school in a named baggie or container before September 6th.

Girls will also be encouraged to wear the sparkliest nail polish they can find on the week of our performances only. We will have some to share if needed.

Pirates

Pirates were sent home with a note regarding their costumes on Monday.

The main clothing part of the pirates costume is to be provided by parents, hopefully making use of pants and shirts etc already at home. If needed Kmart has plain black, white and red tshirts for $3.50 each. Big W has some for $2.25! This with a pair of shorts or pants would be perfect. If you want to add an eye patch, bandana or belt that would be great.

We will let you know when our limited stock of patches, hats and bandanas has arrived.

A reminder that large props such as swords and hooks are not required, but if students already have these they are welcome to send them in named along with their named costume.

We will need everything required for pirates at school in a named bag before September 6th.
