Year 2/3

Year 2/3 have been investigating changes in matter. This week they will observe the changes that occur to various objects, after placing them in different ‘situations’. We will observe them daily and make notes on any changes that take place over one week. 

Our class literature unit on Pippi Longstocking is very enjoyable and we are learning many new words and using them in sentences. Having learnt about the author Astrid Lidgren, it was interesting to note how much enthusiasm she had in support of children’s rights and the way she celebrated ‘individuality’ in children. This is very obvious in the novel ‘Pippi Longstocking’.

Outcomes:

ST1-SCI-01 measures and describes changes in living things, materials, movement, Earth and the sky

Year 2/3 scientist making observations about changes in objects over time.
