Dear Thistlelonians, 

It is a privilege to address you one final time as Principal of McKinnon. As I prepare to step into retirement, I reflect on my tenure with gratitude. I feel immensely proud of the incredible journey we have shared and the remarkable community we have built together.

RESULTS

Our school continues to thrive. Last year’s outstanding VCE results and our exceptional 2026 NAPLAN achievements stand as a testament to the dedication of our students and staff.

To our alumni: thank you for forging this path of excellence. The strong, enduring ties we share with you unite us in a common purpose—fostering academic brilliance and cultivating a positive, engaging school experience for every young person who walks through our doors.

SCHOOL POPULATION

In 2026, our student community numbers 3,186 strong. We are supported by 334 dedicated teaching, Education Support, and Instrumental Music staff—including 49 proud ex-students who have returned to give back to the school that shaped them.
