WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

CHLOE JAMES (CLASS OF 2019)
Chloe James (Class of 2019) is a classically trained mezzo-soprano and has been involved in several productions with Victorian Opera. Chloe is currently featured in the Victorian Opera photographic exhibition ‘Behind the Curtain’, on display at the Sofitel Melbourne On Collins until August 31.
She has featured as Laura in Die Freunde von Salamanka (Schubert), Scientist #1 in The Grumpiest Boy in the World (Twist), Masha in Melbourne, Cheremushki (Shostakovich, cover), Chloe in Opera Bytes (Grant) and in the chorus of Il Mago Di Oz (Valtinoni).
Most recently, Chloe performed as part of the ensemble in Victorian Opera’s 2026 production of The Pirates of Penzance, which is also featured in the Behind the Curtain exhibition.
It’s wonderful to follow your career, Chloe, and we look forward to visiting the exhibition.

SARAH AARONS (CLASS OF 2012)
Alumnus Sarah Aarons (Class of 2012) continues to make waves on the world stage. She recently earned a Grammy nomination as a songwriter for her work on the track “Dangerous” from the film Sinners co-written by Hailee Steinfeld.
The track was recognised in the Best Score Soundtrack Album for Visual Media category.

MARK STUART CROCKER (CLASS OF 1974)
Mark Stuart Crocker (Class of 1974) has been writing songs for most of his adult life, with over a thousand songs spanning a wide range of styles. He’s worked with artists of all ages, co-written internationally, and had his music released and published across the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Australia, and the USA.
Mark has also won multiple songwriting awards, including the Australian Songwriters Association’s Songwriter and Song of the Year in 1996 for Better Than Nothing, and has had songs featured on radio, TV, and streaming platforms worldwide.
Recently, Mark’s music reached a global audience through the award winning, international hit Australian comedy series ‘Colin From Accounts. Two of his songs featured in Season 2: Episode 4 ‘Shake Ya Booty’ and Episode 8 ‘Body On Fire’!
In February 2025, Mark’s band project Great Australian Bight released their single All Australian, complete with a music video available on all streaming platforms.

CHLOE DICKSON (CLASS OF 2008)
Chloe Dickson (Class of 2008) has recently been featured in a documentary about her career as a professional Muay Thai fighter. The film follows four fighters from Khaoboy Muay Thai, the gym Chloe and her partner own, as they prepare for upcoming competitions.
As a student at McKinnon, Chloe was known for her athleticism and sporting prowess. She discovered Muay Thai later in life, turning her passion into a successful career. Chloe was undefeated in four amateur fights before competing professionally four times, remaining undefeated at the highest level in Victoria. In 2023, she represented Australia at the World Muay Thai Championships, earning a bronze medal.
The documentary highlights the discipline, sacrifice, and teamwork involved in the sport. Congratulations Chloe!

ALICE ISABELLA (CLASS OF 2022)
We’re excited to share the release of Alice Isabella's (Class of 2022) debut single, Crawl. Available on most streaming platforms, it’s a beautiful track.
Alice Isabella is an indie-pop singer-songwriter whose heartfelt lyrics and acoustic flair create an unforgettable sound. Blending honesty and emotion, her songs take listeners on a journey through love, identity, nostalgia, and adventure.
She recently returned to McKinnon for an acoustic performance and spoke with Year 10 music students about the music industry.

LUKE KENNEDY (CLASS OF 2024)
Congratulations to Luke Kennedy (Class of 2024), who made his AFL debut for the Western Bulldogs this year!
Drafted straight out of Year 12 in the 2024 AFL National Draft, Luke put together a number of strong performances at VFL level for Footscray. Luke was also part of Footscray’s 2025 VFL premiership team.
Such a proud moment for Luke and his family as he reached the AFL stage. It has recently been announced that Luke has been given a one year extension to his Western Bulldogs contract!
The entire McKinnon Secondary College community is cheering you on.
ANIKA, EESHAN & ALEX (CLASS OF 2024)
Congratulations to Anika Karra, Eeshan Karra and Alex Kuehn (Class of 2024) on their fantastic work with Glen Eira City Council’s Youth Engagement Team (YET).
It is wonderful to see our McKinnon alumni using their leadership skills to help shape future programs and support the next generation.
