STAFF SERVICE & RETIREMENTS

We extend our gratitude to our teaching staff who have either retired or are transitioning into retirement. Your dedication and expertise have shaped countless lives and ignited a passion for learning.

MICHAEL KAN

After 37 years of service in education, Michael will retire at the end of 2026. Michael has been Principal of McKinnon Secondary College since 2023 and has made an invaluable contribution to our school community.

HARRIET BARROW

After a long and valued career in education, Harriet retired at the end of 2025. She began her career with the Department of Education in 1987-1992 and joined McKinnon Secondary College in 2000. Harriet served as Assistant Principal from 2023 to 2025.

FRANK RUSSO

Frank joined the Department of Education in 1989 and McKinnon Secondary College in 2020. Frank retired at the end of 2025.

EDDIE MEST

After an incredible 36 years of service, Eddie retired at the end of 2025. He joined McKinnon Secondary College in 1989 and made a lasting contribution to our school community.

SERGEI GOLOVKO

Sergei joined the Department of Education in 1999 and McKinnon Secondary College in 2006. He is retiring this year after 27 years of service.

CHRIS PANTELIOS

A former McKinnon student from 1993 to 1998, Chris returned to the College as a teacher in 2005. After 20 years of service, Chris left McKinnon in 2025 to pursue a new opportunity in teaching.
