PIA | YEAR 10
Congratulations to Pia for competing at the 2025 National Rowing Championships! Over five days of intense competition, Pia raced in several single scull events, ultimately securing a spot in the B Final and finishing an impressive 6th place. With this achievement, Pia is now officially the 13th fastest single sculler in Australia!
ELISABETH | YEAR 11
Congratulations to Elisabeth for being elected as the Queensland Youth Parliament representative for Everton Park! Comment from Elisabeth: “As a Youth Member of the QYP, I’ll take part in a year-long program working with the Energy, Science and Innovation, and Local Government and Water Committee. Together, we’ll draft a Bill on an issue I’m passionate about, which will be debated at Parliament House during the Residential Sitting Week.”
MILLY | YEAR 9
Congratulations to Milly who was invited to Government House to attend a Governor's Address with Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM. Milly was recognised as the national winner of the 2024 English Speaking Union's Junior Public Speaking Competition. It was an evening of celebration of the English language.
AMELIE | YEAR 9
Congratulations to Amelie who proudly competed in the ESU Intermediate public speaking competition! She impressed the adjudicators with her engaging delivery and thoughtful ideas, earning a special mention for her speech.
MAEVE | YEAR 12
Congratulations to Maeve who represented Mt A with pride at the Interschool QLD State Championships, earning an 8th place finish in Secondary Combined Training 1* and being named a national team reserve! She also impressed at the South-East QLD Regional Championships, placing 4th in 1m Secondary Showjumping and 5th in Combined Training 1*. Maeve also made the National Team.
MIA | YEAR 12
Congratulations to Mia, who joined the Rival House team as a qualified fitness trainer while still in Year 12! After fast-tracking her Certificate III in Fitness alongside her peers through an incredible partnership with Rival House, Mia stepped confidently into the workforce and started making a major impact. Mia now leads multiple group sessions each week at Rival House, working with clients of all ages.
AIRLIE | 2024 GRADUATE
Congratulations to our 2024 graduate, Airlie Davis, who proudly represented Australia at the 2025 VIRTUS World Swimming Championships in Thailand! Airlie’s dedication, resilience, and passion for swimming led her to the world stage and we couldn’t be prouder of this achievement!
HANNAH | YEAR 9
Congratulations to Hannah, who competed at the AusCycling Junior Road National Championships. Hannah showcased incredible skill, determination, and endurance throughout the competition, achieving an outstanding result by claiming first place in the Road Race event. What a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to Hannah’s hard work, dedication, and passion for cycling.
ANNA (YEAR 9) & ALICIA (YEAR 10)
Congratulations to Anna and Alicia, who both competed at the 2025 National Youth Championship Touch Tournament as part of the Brisbane Cobras! Alicia represented the U16s team, while Anna played in the U14s — both showcasing fantastic teamwork and skill throughout the competition. Impressively, both teams finished as runners-up in their divisions!
HEIDI | YEAR 11
Congratulations to Heidi, whose speech on inclusion was shared in Parliament as part of the Raise Our Voice Campaign! Heidi’s speech was a timely reminder of the importance of empathy, acceptance, and celebrating diversity in Australia. Her courage to stand up for others and speak out on such a vital issue is truly inspiring. You can watch her powerful speech delivered in Parliament here!
METBEN | YEAR 10
Congratulations to Metben, who participated in the Ozanam Leadership Program — a transformative leadership experience that saw only 25 participants selected from around 60 applicants across the Brisbane region. Reflecting on her journey, Metben shared how transformative the experience was and how she was pushed outside her comfort zone and discovered what true leadership means.
BRIANNA | YEAR 7
Congratulations to Brianna, who was selected to represent Met North in the U13/14 State Cricket Championships! Across four days of fierce competition, Brianna impressed with her bowling accuracy, energy and teamwork, even earning the Team Player Award. She consistently delivered her overs with precision and brought positivity and leadership to the field.
GRACE | YEAR 12
Congratulations to Grace, whose article was published in the October edition of The Village Voice! Grace worked under the mentorship of journalist Kate from the Village Voice and showcased her impressive skills in interviewing, editing, and writing.
