As we reach the conclusion of another busy and productive term, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, staff, and families for their ongoing commitment to learning and wellbeing throughout Term 2.
This term has provided many opportunities for our students to demonstrate perseverance, creativity, and growth. Whether in the classroom, or our specialist sessions, our students have continued to make us proud. It has been great to see our senior secondary students actively participating in our Student Representative Council (SRC) and we look forward to the whole school sports day they are planning for term 3. It has also been exciting to see classes beginning to use our beautiful new student kitchen space. Initially focussing on fine motor skill development as well as learning the routines and safety expectations of the kitchen, students have enjoyed preparing and tasting a range of snack foods.
Across the school, students have engaged in rich learning experiences that have strengthened their knowledge, skills, and confidence. Our teachers and education support staff have worked diligently to provide engaging and supportive learning environments, ensuring every student has opportunities to succeed.
Student Semester Reports have now been made available to families via Compass . We hope that these provide a valuable snapshot of your child's learning progress, achievements, and areas for future growth during the first half of this year. If you would like a hard copy version of your child's report, please contact the school office.
In term 3, teachers will prepare an Individual Education Plan for each student outlining their goals for semester 2. These usually build on from the semester 1 goals. Some students may be ready for a different goal whilst others may still be working towards similar goals.
If you have any questions regarding your child's report, please contact your child's classroom teacher to arrange a time for discussion.
Term 3 promises to be another exciting period of learning and growth. We look forward to welcoming students back refreshed and ready for new opportunities, challenges, and experiences.
Thank you to our dedicated staff for their hard work and professionalism throughout the term, and to our families for their continued support and partnership. Together, we create a positive and thriving learning community for all students.
I wish all members of our school community a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to seeing everyone back for the start of Term 3.
