NDIS Navigator

Hi everyone, hope you are all going well and staying warm!
As we head into the holidays there are some events coming up that may interest you below, as well as a brief update about the Thriving Kids program.
Additionally, I have some exciting news for the families of our senior secondary students -
next term we will be going on group tours of some of the post-school service providers and would love to have you come along!
Thriving Kids Update:
The government recently released an update regarding the Thriving Kids rollout. Here are some of the key updates:
- The Department of Education will lead the implementation of Thriving Kids in Victoria.
- The first supports will be in place from October 2026, with additional supports introduced over time, with the full range of services in place from 1 January 2028.
- Two new development assessments will be introduced, which will be available for every child: one before kinder, and one before school.
Allied health professionals and support workers will be employed by the Government, based in services families already use, including maternal child health, kindergartens and early parenting centres.
Importantly, children with permanent and significant disability or high support needs will continue to be eligible for the NDIS.
