Ela Uzun representing Australia and winning gold at the Oceania Championships

A huge congratulations to our very own Ela Uzun on her outstanding performance representing Australia at the Oceania Championships. Wearing the green and gold with pride, Ela competed in the Under 18 Women’s 5000m Race Walk, where she not only claimed the gold medal but also set a new Championship meet record with an incredible time of 23:35 minutes.  Adding to this remarkable achievement, Ela was also awarded the prestigious Lesley Cantwell Memorial Walks Trophy, presented by the Oceania Athletics President. This award recognises the best 5000m race walker of the championships.

Congratulations Ela on this amazing achievement. We are incredibly proud of you and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
