National Simultaneous Reading Day

What a delight it is to come together every year to read a book, knowing you are a part of something so much bigger than yourself or your school. 

This year’s National Simultaneous Storytime, supported by ALIA, had in excess of 2.2 million people reading the same text, at the same time, on the same day. On Wednesday the 27th, at 12pm, so many children joined together to enjoy this year’s text ‘Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller. 

We thank our local Tumbarumba Public Library for including our kindergarten class in their annual celebration of this event. It was wonderful for all of our students to watch the authors read their text and engage with their illustrator to draw their very own Luna Roo, and hopefully generate some interest in the upcoming soccer FIFA World Cup.
