Year 5 & 6

On Monday, 12th October our Gala Day boys basketball team competed against other schools for another round. We are extremely proud of how they conducted themselves and the resilience they showed, particularly when things didn’t seem to be going their way.

Below is a recount from one of our players:

“We all got there around 30 minutes before the first game. Finally our first game had started, at the start we were losing but we managed to make it even at half time. For the whole next half we went back and forth for points and with around 10 seconds on the clock someone fouled Noah and we ended up drawing our first game. In our next game which was our last game we needed to win by more than 3 points to go through. In the first half we got off to a great start and we were on track to go through. We ended up winning by around 20 points, so we got through to the next round. We even won a medium sized trophy. We all had so much fun.”
