Year 3 & 4

Welcome back to Term 4! We have hit the ground running in Year 3/4 as we have launched our new novel study of Matilda. We are reading three chapters a week and exploring the language of Roald Dahl. Feel free to read along with us at home also. We are learning new words, such as 'extraordinary' and 'nimble'.

In Maths, we have revisited the topic of statistics and time, and are enjoying making different types of graphs, either on paper or using Google Sheets. This week, we have surveyed our classmates on different topics, and have chosen the way we would like to represent the data.

Year 3/4 sport has started again this term with new sports. Students are learning to play cricket and lacrosse for the next few weeks, which will be helpful for the students as they will play these sports also in Year 5/6 sport. Mr Franklin will be holding a cricket lunchtime club for any interested students on Tuesdays. All skill levels welcome!
