On Saturday, the Church celebrated the Feast of St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia’s first saint. We celebrate Mary's Feast Day because of what she stood for. At the age of 24, she opened a school so children living in poverty could get an education, at a time when many were denied that chance. Every 8 August, we remember her courage and carry her mission forward.

Also on Saturday, students from OLSC ceelbrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with the other schools of our Parish. The celebration was held at MacKillop College. We are incredibly grateful to MacKillop College for making their facilities and staff available for us to have Confirmation together, and to make it such a beautiful liturgy. Thanks must also be given to the Year 6 team for their efforts in teaching and preparing our Canididates for this significant step in their faith lives.
Congratulations, finally, must go to the follow students who were Confirmed:

We would like to invite our Prep and 1/2 families to this year's Faith Nights. These are wonderful opportunities to gather together and spend time in prayer, listening to stories and working together as a family. We hope to see as many families join us on these evenings as possible.

This year, Community Masses will be run all the way through the year on every third Sunday of the month. The dates are below - we invite everyone to join us during 2026 for these Masses, as we continue to build up this faith community.

We encourage you to spread the word of our Community Masses and invite as many family, friends, neighbours and others to these celebrations.
