While Overnewton’s Performing Arts students present outstanding performances throughout the year, the events scheduled for Term 3 are particularly special. The Overnewton Festival of Music, the College musical Oliver, the Year 5/6 production Seussical (Season 2), and performances at the Victorian Schools Music Festival will showcase the remarkable talent, commitment and hard work of our students. A full list of events can be found below.

Ticket information for upcoming events will be released throughout the term. This week, we are pleased to announce that tickets for Oliver! are now on sale via the Clocktower Centre website. Order now to secure your seats via the link below.

Founders Day

Founders’ Day was especially memorable this year, with the attendance of the Archbishop of Melbourne, The Most Reverend Dr Ric Thorpe. Music played a significant role in the service, enriching the occasion and enhancing the worship experience. Warm thanks are extended to the Year 5–12 Choirs, Symphonic Band, String Orchestra and Chapel Band musicians for their outstanding performances and for leading the congregation in song.

Middle School End of Term Celebration

Middle School students were treated to some lunchtime rock music on the final Wednesday of term. The audience enthusiastically supported the excellent musicians as they entertained. The rock bands are now preparing for performances at Out of the Blue on Wednesday 2nd September at our new live music venue – “Musicland”.
