Senior Dance - Winterfest 

Congratulations to our Senior Dance Group on their outstanding performance at this year's Winterfest competition, where they were awarded an impressive 3rd Place. 

The students showcased exceptional talent, creativity and teamwork, delivering a polished routine that reflected the many hours of commitment and rehearsal leading up to the event. Their enthusiasm for dance was evident throughout the performance and they represented the College with great professionalism. 

We congratulate all members of the Senior Dance Group on this fantastic achievement and thank our dedicated staff member, Chantelle Borg, for her ongoing support and guidance. We look forward to seeing what the group accomplishes in future performances. 

5/6 Sport – Divisional Finals 

Congratulations to the 5/6 Sport T-Ball Boys Red Team, Boys Soccer Blue Team, and both the Girls and Boys/Mixed Netball Red Teams for their fantastic efforts at the Divisional Finals held during the last week of Term 2. All teams played three games against schools from the Caroline Springs, St Albans, and Deer Park districts.  

The Boys Soccer Team finished 2nd overall, while the Boys T-Ball Team placed 3rd overall. Both Netball Teams remained undefeated across all three games, finishing 1st overall and earning a place in the Regional Finals. We wish both Netball Teams the very best of luck in the next round of competition. 

A big thank you also goes to all our coaches for their dedication, encouragement, and support of our students throughout the season. Their efforts have played an important role in the success and development of our teams.

Netball Achievements 

Congratulations to three Overnewton students who proudly represented the Parkville Netball Association at the Netball Victoria Association Championships Finals Day recently. The students involved were Year 8 student, Keira B, who is a part of our Intermediate A team that is currently undefeated, along with Charli J and Harriet M who are in our Year 7A team that has only lost one game for the season.  

After an outstanding campaign, the girls and their team finished as runners-up, earning the title of the second best Under 15 association team in Victoria. This is a remarkable achievement given the high standard of competition across the state. 

This success is the culmination of months of hard work and dedication. The team's journey began in October last year, with regular training sessions, participation in numerous tournaments, and a weekly Under 15 competition at Parkville. Their commitment and perseverance throughout the season were rewarded with an outstanding Finals Day performance. 

We congratulate our three students on this incredible accomplishment. We look forward to following their continued success and wish them all the best in the remainder of the ACS competition this year.

Parent Collection from Training and Match Venues  

Parents who wish to collect their child directly from a training or match venue must first complete the ACS Sport Student Venue Collection Application via the link below. 

Please note that ACS buses do not return to Canowindra campus at the end of training and match days. All buses return to Yirramboi campus.
