Celebrating
🎉Student Achievements 🎉
At Lilydale High School, we’re proud to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of our students — both inside and outside the classroom!
Parents and Carers:
If your child has achieved something special outside of school — whether in sport, music, the arts, community service, or any other area - please let your Sub School Office know. We’d love to share and recognise their success with our school community.
Let’s keep celebrating the incredible talents and efforts of our Lilydale High School students!
🩰 Ballet Brilliance: Tahney’s Senior Success
On Sunday, Tahney Mitchell (Year 9) participated in the annual A.A.T.B.D Inc. Ballerina Test and Own Chorey Day. This marked her fourth year taking part in the ballerina test, but this time with a significant milestone—her first year competing in the Senior category after previously dancing in the Junior section.
Each dancer learns and performs the same set routine onstage in front of an adjudicator, who then critiques each performance and selects one standout to be named Ballerina of the Year. In the Senior category, competitors perform en pointe, and despite it being only Tahney’s second year dancing en pointe—and being the youngest in the group—she delivered a beautiful performance alongside her close friend.
After all routines were performed and the adjudication process was complete, Tahney was awarded the prestigious title of Senior Ballerina of the Year! She was presented with the perpetual shield and a sash in recognition of her achievement.
We’re incredibly proud of Tahney’s hard work, dedication, and talent. Congratulations, Tahney, what an inspiring achievement!
