Yarra Division Netball 🏐
Intermediate & Senior Boys | Tuesday, June 3
Congratulations to our Intermediate and Senior boys who proudly represented the school at the Yarra Division Netball Competition. It was a fantastic day showcasing skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
We had two Intermediate boys' teams competing, both demonstrating outstanding effort and improvement throughout the day:
Intermediate A2 (Year 9): Played with great speed and determination, growing stronger with every game.
Intermediate A1 (Year 10): Delivered a stellar performance, remaining undefeated in the round matches, with only a single draw against Upper Yarra. Final placings were determined by percentage, and in a tight finish, they narrowly missed first place by just five goals.
Special congratulations to our Senior Boys team, who finished the day undefeated and on top! They will now progress to the Eastern Region Day. This result is a testament to their commitment, having trained consistently since the beginning of Term 1.
A huge well done to all players for their dedication across Terms 1 and 2 and for displaying such a strong competitive spirit.
💛 And a big thank you to our amazing EIS Netball students—Lily, Lucy, Maggie, Ella, Camryn, Alannah, and Lauren—for their fantastic support with coaching and scoring on the day.

Our Junior AFL Girls took to the field for the Eastern Metropolitan Region competition—and what a day it was!
The girls played fantastically, going undefeated in their pool to earn a well-deserved spot in the grand final.
The final match against Norwood was a tight and fiercely contested battle. Despite their incredible effort and teamwork, the girls were narrowly defeated by just 10 points.
Well done to all the players for their determination, skill, and spirit throughout the day.
A huge thank you to Mr Rogers and Miss Morrow for their coaching and support.
Special thanks to our legendary bus driver Kev, who is always our biggest supporter - and goal umpire!

Year 7 Boys Football 🏉
On the 26th of June, 22 of our Year 7 boys set off to Morton Park to play in the second round of footy.
In our first game of the day, we were going up against Heathmont Secondary College. We started slowing but picked up the pace quickly to end up winning the game 39 - 21. It was great to start off the day with a win; everybody played very well, but some key standouts were Harvey Pearson, who gave us really good energy coming from the midfield with a very hard attack on the footy. Kobi Dellar played a huge role as he was a great target for us at centre half-forward; Kobi kicked an unreal goal from the boundary to seal the game. That was his second goal. Cash Cooper also kicked 2 goals, setting a great standard for the boys.
Going into our second game, we were coming up against Vermont, a very tough competition. We got the first goal kicked against us and they were all over the ball, but we didn't let this stop us. We all fought very hard and ended up getting the win 29 - 13; we did very well in this game and kept our composure and never panicked, which helped the boys a lot. Early in the second half, Toby Cook kicked a ripper of a goal, dribbling the ball from the boundary, which got us fired up to finish the game strong. Lincoln Agnew was providing us with great runs off the half-back flank and was a very solid defender all day. Charlie Haley was unreal in the back pocket, taking some crucial overhead pack marks; this saved many goals for us.
In our third and final game, we had to take on Rowville Sports Academy. These guys were very good and had won their games by 92 and 80 points. We ended up losing 59 - 6, but we looked at it as a positive as we were the first team to score against them and lost by much less than the other teams that went up against them. Chase Glenn kicked a really nice goal, running out of a midfield clearance, taking two bounces and finishing.
Our superstar of the day was Chase Glenn, who was awarded the MVP trophy at the end of the day. It was very well deserved. He was hard at the footy all day, attacked it with all his might; he is a very snappy and shifty player in the midfield, using his insane speed to his advantage. Great work, Chase!
A HUGE thank you to Mr Stuart and Mr Neumann for making the day possible; they were awesome coaches, and we thank them for their hard work they put into making this day so fun. It was a huge privilege to be the captain of this awesome team. Everyone had an awesome day, and we wish it would have gone on for longer. We finished off the day with a cheeky Maccas run on the way home thanks to Kev, the busdriver.
