Sport - Ms Tijana
We are excited to introduce our 2026 Sports Captains! Rafael and Greta have shown great leadership, enthusiasm, and a passion for sport at St Bernard’s. Throughout the year, they will play an important role in supporting school sporting events, encouraging participation, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship across all year levels. Congratulations and well done!

Celebrating St. Bernard’s Students at Coburg Little Athletics
I wanted to share some wonderful news about a group of St. Bernard’s students who participate in Coburg Little Athletics, following the final competition of the season this past weekend.
We had a number of St. Bernard’s students competing, and it was fantastic to see their commitment and achievements across the season recognised.
In particular, three students placed in their age groups for the season:
- Louie (grade 2)
- Maaz (grade 4)
- Mimi (grade 4)
An especially exciting highlight was that Mimi and Maaz also placed in the all-age 100m handicap sprint — an incredible achievement given the broad age range and level of competition.
I’ve attached a photo of the age group place-getters, as well as a photo of Mimi and Maaz following their 100m results. There is also a group photo of several St. Bernard’s students with their awards from the day. A few students who also had very successful seasons had already left at that point, including Henry (Year 3), Greta (Year 6), and Oscar (grade 4).
It’s been a fantastic season for all involved, and a great reflection of the enthusiasm and effort these students bring to their sport outside of school.
Thank you to Lou (Harriet's Mum) for this amazing update.
