From the Principal
Wear it Purple Day
Our school is proud to support inclusivity and celebrate diversity. The NSW Department of Education has maintained its silver status in the Australian Workplace Equality Index for 2025, recognising its commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion.
Today, I’m wearing purple to show support for this important day, and I encourage you to join in by advocating strongly for a diverse and inclusive school community – we all have a part to play in making sure our schools and workplaces are safe, empowering and welcoming spaces where people can flourish because they feel valued and included.
At Wyndham college we strive to ensure all of our students understand the impact of inclusive curriculum which provides opportunities for students to show their skills and contribution to the ethos of our college.
Blacktown Festival of the Performing Arts
Congratulations to our Wyndham Dance group for their wonderous lyrical piece. They showcased the strength of the dance program here at Wyndham College to the schools in the Blacktown area. We are so proud of our students, their dance skills and collaboration as an ensemble that produces performing art of the highest quality. Thanks to Sarah Minol and Brigett Letters for their expertise and commitment to our students.
Metropolitan North student council
Congratulation to Ryan Mills who represented Wyndham College and the Quakers Hill network of schools at the Metropolitan North Principals Conference. Ryan spoke to the gathered 250 principals about the student perspective on anti-racism strategies in schools. He collected, analysed and curated a response to principals based on his leadership and work with students across the 250 schools represented at the conference. Public speaking in front of a large group of principals is a daunting task, but Ryan made it look easy - he was engaging, relaxed and deliberately provocative to make his point about the continuing work required by schools and society to combat racism to make schools a more hospitable place for all students.
