It has been a wonderful start to Term 2 in Indonesian, with students across all year levels really getting involved in their learning.
Prep
Our Prep students are building confidence with colours, numbers, and introducing themselves in Indonesian.
Years 1 & 2
In Years 1 and 2, students are consolidating their understanding of numbers, while also learning how to express a range of emotions.
Years 3 & 4
Years 3 and 4 have begun learning the vocabulary for activities that make up their daily routines.
Years 5 & 6
In Years 5 and 6, students have started learning about prepositions and are developing their skills in describing where things are located, including using maps.
Across the school, students have also been learning about the Asian Beach Games and the upcoming Asian Games, with a focus on Indonesia’s participation. Later in the year, students will compare the Commonwealth Games with the Asian Games, exploring similarities and differences between these major international events.
What a fantastic and positive start to the term!

Performing Arts has launched into Term 2 with energy, excitement, and a real buzz across the school! Over the first two weeks, students have been diving into what it truly means to be a performer - exploring expression, character, and stage presence as they prepare for our highly anticipated whole-school production of 'Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr'.
A major highlight has been the Year 5 and 6 auditions, which absolutely blew us away! Students showcased incredible confidence, creativity, and commitment as they stepped into the shoes of main characters. The level of talent on display made for some very tough decisions and has set the stage for an outstanding production.
Adding to the excitement, many of the costumes have already been sourced, sparking lots of enthusiasm and curiosity among students. The transformation into the whimsical world of Wonderland is already beginning!
It’s shaping up to be a magical term in Performing Arts, and I can’t wait to share more as rehearsals and preparations continue.

So far this term, all year levels have been practicing their football skills. We have been learning handballing, marking, and kicking techniques across the school. Students have seemed to really enjoy our new game, 'Footy Tag'!
While learning these skills, we have had a focus on safety. When there are multiple groups/partnerships working on a skill, we make sure we have enough room to practise our skill without moving into another group’s space.

With some more practice, it will be great to see how we can improve our football skills over the next few weeks.

Students across the school launched into STEAM learning by exploring how things move and how we can investigate the world around us.
Prep
Students explored pushing, pulling, and rolling objects, then expressed their learning through creative movement artworks using lines and paint.
Years 1 & 2
Students began thinking like scientists - asking questions, testing ideas, and exploring push and pull through hands-on activities and printmaking.
Years 3 & 4
Through our 'Alice in Wonderland' theme, students investigated gravity and falling, while beginning imaginative teacup designs.
Years 5 & 6
Students explored forces through interactive experiments and began representing movement through visual art.
