Welcome to Term 2

Welcome back to Term 2! It has been such a settled and positive start, with students returning ready to learn and reconnect with their routines. It’s been wonderful to see how quickly everyone has engaged with their learning goals and jumped straight into classroom activities with enthusiasm and focus. This strong beginning sets a great tone for the term ahead, and we look forward to seeing our students continue to grow, challenge themselves, and achieve their personal best.

Open Evening

We are pleased to invite all current and prospective families to our Open Evening on Wednesday the 20th of May from 3:45pm to 4:30pm. This is a great opportunity to explore our learning spaces, meet staff, and gain a sense of the engaging and supportive environment we offer our students.

Parents Association

Our Parents Association is a wonderful way to stay connected, participate in fun events, and make a meaningful difference in your child’s experience. Whether you can offer ideas or lend a hand at an event, every contribution matters and is valued. Being involved is also a great way to meet other families and build a strong, supportive network. Gala Day

We are incredibly proud of our Year 5/6 students for the way they represented our school at yesterday’s interschool sports Gala Day. Their sportsmanship was outstanding, demonstrating respect, teamwork, and encouragement towards both their peers and competitors. They showed great resilience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude throughout the day, making the most of every opportunity. It was wonderful to see them support one another and uphold our school values so strongly, well done to all involved!

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our dedicated staff, parent volunteers, and coaches who supported the day. Your time, effort, and encouragement made this experience possible, and we truly appreciate your ongoing commitment to our students.

Working Bee

We are looking forward to our upcoming Working Bee on Sunday the 31st of May from 9:00am to 12:00pm, and warmly invite all families to come along and get involved. It’s a fantastic opportunity to help improve our school grounds, while also connecting with other members of our community.

Students are very welcome to attend alongside their parents or carers, provided they are supervised at all times. There will be a range of tasks available, so whether you can contribute for the full morning or just a short time, every bit of help makes a real difference.

We truly appreciate the support of our school community and look forward to seeing many of you there on the day.

100 Year Celebration - Dancing Through The Decades

We are excited to share that our 100-Year “Dancing Through the Decades” video has now been completed! This special project celebrates our school’s history through music and dance across the years, capturing the spirit and energy of each era. Information will be released on Compass tomorrow, watch this space as we look forward to sharing this fantastic celebration with our community!

ANZAC Day

On Sunday the 19th of April, 2026, the Ringwood RSL offered a chance for community and family to participate in a formal march. A small, but enthusiastic group of students, parents, and grandparents assembled in Ringwood to march along Maroondah Highway, before convening at the Ringwood Clock Tower.  Many other community groups and members of the public were in attendance. A moving service was held, and Ella and Daisy presented a wreath on behalf of YRPS. Special thanks to the Murphy, Carmusciano, and Reynolds families for attending, and to Mrs Butler for making the wreath.
