What a Great Year at the Community Hub!

As 2024 comes to an end, I want to thank everyone who has been part of the Community Hub this year. It’s been amazing to see our programs grow, and our community come together. From launching the Toy Well toy library, to extending our swimming program and celebrating the playgroup’s "We are Beautiful Together" book launch, it’s been a year full of wonderful achievements.

Wishing you all a safe and happy festive holiday season! Below are some highlight photos from our year to look back on and enjoy.

Universal Children's Day Celebration

This year, we were excited to be part of the Universal Children’s Week celebration hosted by Hume City Council at the Homestead Community and Learning Centre. At our table, we offered a fun craft activity for children and had the chance to connect with families. We also handed out showbags to promote our hub, the kindergarten, and the school.

It was a great opportunity to engage with the community and share the wonderful services we offer.

Our Cooking and Core Club has been another fantastic program this year, thanks to Sue from Nourish to Flourish. Sue has brought her expertise and passion for healthy living to the hub, guiding participants through both cooking and Pilates sessions.

Toy Well toy library

We were thrilled to open our Toy Well toy library this term! This new resource allows families to borrow educational toys for children aged birth to 5 years, supporting early childhood development in our community. The toy library is run by our amazing volunteers, and we’re so grateful for their time and dedication.

Playgroup petting zoo incursion

Our playgroup had a fun and educational experience with a petting zoo incursion this year! Children had the chance to get up close with a variety of friendly animals, learning about them while enjoying hands-on interaction.

Learn to Swim for Women

Our swimming ladies have made incredible progress this year, gaining confidence in the water and mastering new skills through dedication and perseverance. Their achievements highlight the value of this empowering program. Keep an eye out in 2025 when we open registrations for new swimming classes—don’t miss the chance to join this inspiring journey!
