Swimming Championships

On Monday, 4 March, we had a small but talented squad of swimmers competing at the Conference 3 Championships at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre (SOPAC).

Exceptional results were achieved by our swimmers across all strokes and distances. Such was the success of our swimmers, St Aloysius were crowned Senior Boys Champions and also received the Champion Boys Community School. This is an amazing achievement for a small number of swimmers. Congratulations to the following students for their results and for qualifying through to the Sydney Championships to be held on Monday, 25 March at SOPAC.

Congratulations to the following students for being crowned Age Champions:

  • Otis Jessop - Boys U16 Age Champion
  • Solomon Freeman - Boys U17 & Over Age Champion

Winners of the U17 & Over 4 x 50m Medley Relay

Term I Sport

With one round remaining for Term I sport before the semi finals, we are in a tight tussle to make the semi finals in many sports, across junior and senior competitions. Good luck to all teams and fingers crossed we get lots of teams into the finals series.

Term II Sport

Term II sporting options will become available to students with Interschool options to compete against other schools within Conference 3 being Netball and Soccer.

SCS/CCC Representation

Congratulations to Lachie Targett who recently represented NSW All Schools in Perth for the Australian Triathlon Championships.

Lachie raced incredibly well coming 6th in the U12-U14 Individual Triathlon, racing against the best Triathletes in Australia with most competitors being a year older than him. Lachie also raced in the

mixed team relay where NSW claimed 3rd place. Lachie has an extremely bright future and we wish him continued success.

Mikayla Lee, Archie Rose and Toby Bacon, all Year 12, have been selected for the Sydney Catholic School Touch Football Team. They were successful in the trials and will now compete at the CSNSW Touch Championships on the Central Coast.

External Sport

The school has many outstanding athletes competing in Surf Life Saving but congratulations to Kobe Sorenson (Year 12) for winning the U17 Male Beach Sprint Title held on Queenscliff beach recently. This is on the back of Kobe winning the sprint and flags whilst representing NSW at the Interstate Titles earlier in the holidays and now has his sights on the Australian Championships in the upcoming holidays.

Congratulations to Oliver Randazzo (Year 12) for being offered a

scholarship with Macarthur FC. Oliver’s promotion from the

academy squad will bolster their midfield and right wing positions

vying for positions in their A-League squad. Congratulations and

the best of luck to Oli pursuing his football career.
