Netball Gala Day

Term 2 Week 1

On Thursday last week, Year 7/8 and 9/10 boys’ and girls’ netball teams competed at the Netball NSW Schools Cup competition held at Equex. It was a warm day, and all students played their best, showcasing admirable talents.

The most noteworthy is the fantastic sportsmanlike behaviour on display. Halle Leahy participated in and won the shooting challenge (in the lunch break), displaying her exceptional accuracy for all to see.

Both girls’ teams had tough competition and persisted. The Year 7/8 boys played against a few 9/10 teams and showed determination against some much taller players, scoring points against them. All our teams played well, and we are proud of them all.

The Year 7/8 and 9/10 boys’ teams progress to phase 2, which will be held in September. We congratulate them on their result and look forward to this competition!

Thank you to Mrs Vidler for coaching our Year 7/8 teams!

A huge thank you to our amazing umpires: Hannah Buchtmann and Brenna Guilfoyle (Year 12 students), Carneh Yongai (former Year 12 student) and David Buchtmann (parent). We are so grateful for your professionalism and high level of skill!
