Primary Interschool Cross Country

Primary Cross Country — Sunraysia South Division

Competitors from our school took on the Sunraysia South Division cross country carnival on a cool, overcast morning — though when the sun made an appearance, the jackets quickly disappeared!

Our 9–10 year old runners faced a large, competitive field and gave their best efforts. A special mention goes to Jaylon Collins (12th), whose performance was the standout of the group.

In the 12 year old boys' event, our team claimed first place with Regan Janetzki (2nd), Malachi Ihezue (3rd), and Giovanni Pipicella (7th). In the girls' event, Candice Chashupa finished an impressive 6th. Regan, Malachi, Candice, and Giovanni all qualified for the Loddon Mallee Region Cross Country — congratulations to them all!

It was wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents, and family members at the track cheering on our competitors. A big thank you also to Mrs Tresize for her excellent work as track marshal on the day.

We're proud of every student who competed and represented our school with enthusiasm and heart.
