Interhouse Basketball Tournament — Term 1

Term 1 wrapped up with a fantastic display of school spirit as Agape, Eirene, and Makrothumia went head-to-head in our interhouse basketball tournament.

Primary Competition

Makrothumia were the dominant force in the primary rounds, defeating both Agape (12–3) and Eirene (22–3) to finish the round robin undefeated. Agape secured second place with a win over Eirene (14–4), setting up a final between the top two sides. In the decider, Makrothumia continued their strong form to claim the primary championship, defeating Agape 24–8.

Primary Competition MVP: Giovanni Pipicella (Makrothumia)

Open Competition

The open competition told a different story, with Eirene proving the standout side. After defeating both Agape (12–2) and Makrothumia (8–4) in the round robin, Eirene carried their momentum into the final, overcoming Makrothumia 10–2 to take the title.

Open Competition MVP: Grace Hardy (Eirene)

Overall Tournament Winners: Makrothumia

Combining results across both competitions, Makrothumia claimed the overall tournament honours — a well-deserved reward for their dominant showing throughout the day.

Congratulations to all students who competed — it was a brilliant way to close out Term 1. A big thank you to the staff and volunteer referees who made the event run smoothly.
