Connect Crew

This week, a group of Connect students had the opportunity to head down to Templeton Tennis Club. The club recently received a grant to purchase new plants and planter boxes – and that’s where Crew 7 and two amazing helpers came in handy!

The soil delivery arrived, and the team got straight to work. With plenty of determination (and impressive teamwork), they hauled the soil up the hill and into the tennis courts in what looked like record time. Once the hard work was done, the crew were rewarded with a cold soft drink kindly left out by the Club President.

This marks the beginning of a fantastic partnership between Templeton Tennis Club and Wantirna College - Connect. By working together on local projects like this, students are not only learning practical skills but also helping to build strong community networks that benefit everyone. Our students will be returning in the coming months to continue working on the gardens and to plant out the new greenery. Well done, Crew 7 – an excellent effort!

Meanwhile, Crew 11 have been busy building not just Lego creations, but also new friendships and communication skills. This is their first time working together as a group, and already they’re showing wonderful teamwork, creativity and imagination. It’s been inspiring to see their ideas come to life through construction and we can’t wait to see the finished project.

Congratulations to all our Connect crews for their hard work, creativity and for strengthening connections within our community this week!
