Wellbeing Update

Wellbeing News - Supporting our School Community

The Lara SC School Wellbeing Team have been busy creating opportunities to support and engage our students in meaningful ways.

  • Breakfast Club: Thanks to a generous private donation, we are proud to continue offering Breakfast Club two days a week—Wednesdays and Fridays. This initiative helps provide our students with a positive start to their day, building a sense of community and care.
  • Staff vs. Students Volleyball: Our Staff vs. Students volleyball game on Friday lunchtime was a fun and lively event, promoting teamwork, friendly competition, and fostering strong connections between staff and students.
  • Rainbow Groups: Rainbow Groups meet every Wednesday lunchtime, providing a safe and inclusive space for students to connect, support each other, and share experiences in a welcoming environment.

Our new wellbeing space is designed to promote emotional regulation and mindfulness. With its calming atmosphere, dim lighting, soft music, and beautiful scents, it provides students with a peaceful, private place to reset and recharge.

The wellbeing team is grateful for the opportunity to support our students and is always thrilled to see the positive impact our programs have on the school community. We look forward to continuing to work together to nurture the emotional and mental health of everyone at our school.

We truly appreciate the kindness and participation of our students and staff in creating a supportive and caring environment.
