Welcome to the Lara Secondary College Library
Opening hours: 8:30—4:15pm—daily
The library is open before school, at recess, lunchtime and after school until 4:15—for borrowing, returning, browsing, printing, to use the computers to complete school tasks and for quiet reading.
The Library is a great place to complete your homework before heading home for the day.
The Spine Crackers Book Club
Spine Crackers is Lara Secondary College’s own book club. We meet once a month in the library, to discuss the books we are reading, share reading recommendations and talk all things books.
Members also have the opportunity to select new books to be purchased for the library, they are then offered the opportunity to be the first to read the books.
We also discuss group reading and activity opportunities, all whilst sharing a snack.
Our first Spine Crackers book club meeting will be held on Thursday 27th February, in the library at lunchtime.
We welcome new and returning members for 2025 and you can join at anytime.

Valentines Day
The library celebrated Valentines Day with a display of popular Love stories for students to borrow.
We also had bookmarks and gift tags available to students to take.
