Celebrating achievements at our Whole School Asssembly

On Tuesday, 28th July, students and staff gathered for our Whole School Assembly to celebrate the achievements of students across the College.

The assembly commenced with our College Captain, Indiana Groves, delivering the Acknowledgement of Country, recognising the Traditional Owners of the land on which we learn and work. Our Principal, Mr Smith, then welcomed everyone and spoke about the importance of celebrating student success and recognising the commitment and effort demonstrated throughout the semester.

The presentation of awards followed, beginning with the Semester One Principal Awards, presented by our College Captains, Bailey Kezik and Indiana Groves, alongside Mr Smith. Students were then recognised with the Year 9 NAPLAN Awards, presented by our Numeracy Learning Specialist, Ms Peterson and our Literacy Learning Specialist, Ms Nadal, with Mr Smith presenting certificates to each recipient. The assembly concluded with the Semester One Art & Technology Exhibition Awards, presented by our Art & Technology Learning Area Leader, Ms Schinzig, with Mr Smith once again presenting certificates to the award recipients. Mr Smith then concluded the assembly with a final address, congratulating students on their achievements and encouraging students to continue striving for success throughout the remainder of the year.

It was fantastic to see so many students recognised for their efforts through the presentation of the Semester One Principal Awards, the Year 9 NAPLAN Awards and the Semester One Art & Technology Exhibition Awards. These awards acknowledge the dedication and commitment that students have shown throughout the semester and it was inspiring to see so many deserving recipients recognised in front of our College community.

A special thank you to the families who joined us to celebrate these achievements. Having family members there to share these moments made the occasion even more special for our award recipients.

On behalf of the Student Representative Council, congratulations to everyone who received an award. We hope your achievements inspire others to continue working hard and make the most of every opportunity at our school.

We would also like to thank Ms Erjavec, our Student Representative Council Coordinator, for organising another wonderful Whole School Assembly and helping bring our College community together to celebrate the many accomplishments of our students.
