Explore the World of Technology at ComputeFest 2026
Are you interested in technology, coding or exploring future careers in the digital industry?
Students in Years 10–12 are invited to attend ComputeFest 2026, a free event hosted by the Computing and Information Systems Student Association (CISSA) at the University of Melbourne.
Designed for students with an interest in technology, ComputeFest offers the opportunity to hear from industry professionals, connect with current university students and gain hands-on experience with coding in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment.
Throughout the day, students will:
Hear from a panel of industry leaders and learn about diversity and opportunities within the technology sector.
Participate in a hands-on introductory Python coding workshop.
Explore Computer Science course options at the University of Melbourne.
Discover what it's like to study Computer Science from current university students.

Cost: Free (lunch provided)
Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop to participate in the coding workshop.

Exploring International Sporting Pathways
Are you passionate about sport and interested in combining your athletic goals with further study? Students and families are invited to attend a free online webinar hosted by Ethos Sports & Education, exploring university, professional and career pathways in sport across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The webinar is suitable for student-athletes of all levels, from those competing for their school or local club through to elite athletes. It will provide valuable information about the opportunities available and the steps involved in pursuing sport beyond secondary school.
Topics will include:
University sports pathways and athletic scholarships.
What university coaches are looking for in prospective student-athletes.
The recruitment process and common challenges.
Professional sporting pathways.
Career opportunities within the sports industry.
Academic pathways and balancing study with sport.
Whether students are just beginning to explore their options or have already started the recruitment process, the webinar will provide practical advice and information to help them make informed decisions about their future.
