Eclipse House News

The past few weeks in Eclipse have been as busy as ever. Weekends have seen the usual departure of students for sporting events, providing a great opportunity for those remaining on campus to integrate across houses, always a pleasure to witness.
The recent Interhouse Athletics Carnival was fantastic from a boarding perspective, with some outstanding performances from many of the houses. Matt Cant, Craig Wiech, Patrick Buckenara, and Lucas Smart delivered particularly strong showings for their respective houses.
Following this, the Boarders’ Closed Weekend offered students a well-deserved chance to head off campus for a few nights.
Meanwhile, the gym continues to see plenty of use. With exams just around the corner, there has been a noticeable increase in preparation. The ATAR students in the house have been working hard to balance their academic studies alongside their sporting commitments, ensuring they are as prepared as possible.
It was a highlight to see Henry Smith take part in the World's Greatest Shave event at school; he is now sporting a very sharp-looking buzz cut. Well done, Henry.
Mornings have been filled with room checks, assisted by young Roy, alongside some very enjoyable coffees with Sally Mellows, Handre De Bruin, and young Fletcher. Many of the boys have also been keen to gather and share a cuppa to start the day.
Birthdays
Since our last issue of the Buzz we have had both of our Year Twelve boys celebrate their birthdays. Many happy returns to Harrison Greenup and Darcy Roberts.
