Teaching Excellence Program 2026

Silverton Primary School values the learning and development of our staff, and the positive impact this has on students, outcomes and school improvement.

We are proud to share that Nicola Connor, Naomi Placensia and Robyn Howard have applied, and been accepted into the Teaching Excellence Program at the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership.

This year long program provides teachers with the opportunity to advance their capabilities and excellence in teaching.

Through the program, Niki, Naomi and Robyn will increase their knowledge of teaching by participating in 10 professional learning days and collaborating with other educators and will have the chance to learn from both national and international experts in the field of education.

We look forward to learning from Niki, Naomi and Robyn as we work together to implement the knowledge and skills they take away from the program in a contiunued effort to improve student outcomes in learning and wellbeing here at Silverton.

We are so proud to have Niki, Naomi and Robyn representing our school and supporting the Academy in raising the status of this amazing profession.
