CBCA Book Week 2026 - Symphony of Stories

Book Week is coming! From August 24 -28, we will be celebrating with lots of fun activities including author Karen Wasson talking to Year 7 - 9 students. At lunchtime on Tuesday 25 August we will hold a Book Week Dress Up Competition. Students come to school in their school uniform and then will change into their costume. Prizes to be won! Books by Karen and all of the books in the Older Readers shortlist for the Book of the Year award are available to borrow from the library.

GEC’s Hottest 100 Books of this Century

Voting opens soon! Students will be voting in their class from a variety of genres. Each class will have their own Top 10 and we will be counting down the Hottest 100 during Book Week.

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge
