News and Information from Primary
It is great to be back and to begin Term 2 together. We pray that all our families enjoyed a restful and refreshing holiday break and were able to spend valuable time together.
After such a strong start to the year, we are looking forward to continuing this momentum throughout Term 2. There is much to be excited about, with many learning opportunities and special events planned. Our teachers have certainly been busy over the holidays, preparing engaging programs and experiences that will support and challenge our students in the months ahead.
Early in the term, we are delighted to invite our Primary families to our Family and Friends Morning. This will be a wonderful opportunity for family members and friends to join us for our Monday assembly, followed by time visiting classrooms. A morning tea will be provided, and we look forward to sharing a glimpse of everyday learning and life at our school with our wider community.
Another key event to look forward to is our Kinder to Year 10 Cross Country, which will be held on Wednesday 20th May. This is always a special day in our school calendar, giving us the opportunity to come together as a whole school community. We celebrate not only students’ effort and participation, but also the gift of running, perseverance, and the sense of community that makes events like this so meaningful.
We are excited about what lies ahead and are confident that Term 2 will be a great term for learning, connection, and growth.
We are excited to invite you to our Family and Friends Morning on Monday 11th May.
We will begin together at our assembly from 8:30am in the Jiloa Centre, before welcoming families into classrooms from 8:45am. A morning tea will follow at 9:45am in the Jiloa Centre, with the morning concluding at 10:30am.
Invitations for you to give to family and friends have been sent home with students and additional copies are available from the Central Office if you would like more.
We hope you can join us for a lovely morning together.

We are excited to let families know about our upcoming after‑school Auskick and Superkick programs on Fridays from 5th June between 3-4pm, designed to be fun, inclusive, and perfect for students of all abilities.
Auskick is for children aged 4-6 and is an introduction to Australian Rules Football, teaching skills through fun activities and mini games.
Superkick is for children aged 7-12 wanting to get a feel for footy without the pressure. Superkick is the next step up from Auskick and provides the opportunity for students to continue to develop their skills in a fun and tackle free environment.
This 6‑week program will run after school on the school oval, giving students a great opportunity to build skills, make friends, and enjoy being active in a safe and supportive environment.
