What's On at DCS
Upcoming Events for Students and Families
Every year, the DCS Community proudly runs our much-loved Mother’s Day Stall, giving students the opportunity to purchase a small gift for their mum or a special loved one.
Last year, we expanded this event by introducing a Mother’s Day Expo alongside our traditional stall. We invited DCS families to host their own stalls and sell handmade or homegrown items and the response was wonderful!
This year’s Mother’s Day Expo will feature a fantastic variety of beautiful gifts, including:
Plants
Earrings
Handmade cookies
Handmade soap
Relish
3D printed objects
and more!
Location: Outside the Jiloa Centre
Date: Friday 8th May

We are looking forward to having everyone return after the holidays. Playgroup will recommence tomorrow, Thursday 7th May for Little Sprouts and Friday 8th May for Jiloa Juniors.

Join us every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:10am to 8:25am at the Jiloa Café.
Our wonderful DCS Community volunteers are here to serve delicious and nutritious breakfast to all our students.
We love offering this opportunity - it’s a great way for students to start their day with some yummy breakfast treats.
All students are welcome to come along!

Our vision is to build strong partnerships, connect and engage families, provide opportunities to support and serve, to foster a Christ-centred culture and to create the best possible environment for our children’s development at school.
We warmly welcome all parents and friends of the school to be a part of our DCS Community group.
Our next DCS Community meeting will be held on Wednesday 13th May from 9.00am straight after Worship Wednesday in the staff room in B block.

Wednesday 20th May - Our first ever combined Primary and Secondary Cross Country will be held on Wednesday 20th May. We are looking forward to an exciting day as we cheer each other on, from Kinder right through to Year 10!
Thursday 28th May - Our Secondary Athletics Carnival will now be held on Thursday 28th May at the Penguin Athletic Track. We have organised coffee and hot spud vans to be available on the day for both student and parents. We hope you are able to join us!

This year, National Walk Safely to School Day is being held on Friday 22nd May. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather as the DCS Community with our families and friends.
We will be meeting at the Splash carpark ready to leave at 8am and walking to school together via the walking track.
This event will be weather permitting. Families will be notified via Schoolbox and Facebook should we need to cancel.
We are looking forward to a great morning!

The DCS Community would love to welcome all our wonderful parents and grandparents for a relaxed coffee and chat on Friday 22nd May. Join us straight after Assembly at 9:00am in the Jiloa Centre.
Come along for some light refreshments, a hot beverage, and great company. We look forward to sharing this special time of connection and community with you, it will truly be a blessing to have you there!
