Welcome back to Term 3.

This promises to be a massive term in more ways than one, with a number of significant events on the calendar including the College Ball, Dowerin Field Days and Open Day. For our Year 12 students, this could also be their final full term at the College, making every week and every opportunity count as they prepare for the next stage of their journey.

It has been encouraging to see a genuine sense of urgency among the Year 12 students as they return to their studies and practical projects. Many are recognising the importance of staying focused and ensuring assessment tasks, portfolio work and practical projects are completed to a high standard and submitted on time. The reality is that there is very little time remaining. With only four full Trades days available for the rest of the term, students need to make the most of every session. Attendance, preparation and productivity will be critical. Each lesson represents a valuable opportunity to make progress towards completion, and students who use their time wisely will place themselves in the best possible position for a successful finish to the year.

Our Year 11 students have also started the term positively. They are working hard to complete their structured coursework while continuing to develop and design their own personal projects. It has been pleasing to see students applying the skills and knowledge they have gained to create projects that reflect their individual interests and abilities. These projects provide an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate creativity, problem-solving and independent work habits, all of which are important skills for future pathways in industry and further education.

With a busy and exciting term ahead, we look forward to seeing all students continue to challenge themselves, make the most of every opportunity and take pride in their achievements. Let's make Term 3 a productive, rewarding and memorable one.
