Senior School - Term 4

2025 has been a fun year for our senior school and is rapidly coming to a close!

The Year 12 students have had a series of events to end their studies with us, including a celebration day where all the students dressed up as their favourite childhood TV and movie characters and a BBQ breakfast hosted by our Year 11 Student Leaders. Shoutouts to the best dressed including the ‘minions group’, the ‘ninja turtles’ and even our own Principal dressed as Indiana Jones! Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were unable to walk together to the school from the boathouse, however Ms Bean led us on a march through the school to wave goodbye to our 2025 Year 12 BHS students.

This was followed by a Valedictory assembly, where all of our students were presented with a certificate and their stylish new graduation sash by our school Principals. Well done to our 2025 Year 12 students, and to our student leaders Harry and Elise who gave wonderful speeches at all of our end of year events. The main event is now almost finished with our scored VCE students participating in their VCAA exams all hosted up in Peacock Hall. This was preceded by practice exams during the last holidays, and a power of work by the students to get themselves ready. Good luck to those with their last exams still to go and well done to those who have already finished! Thanks to the senior team, Pat Stewart and Emily Marshall as well as our APs throughout the year Sharon Eppingstall and Narelle Bean.

Our Year 11 Student Leaders have been working getting ready for next year and have already done a lot of positive work with the cohort to get their own Year 12 off to a good start. Year 11 exams are on in week 6, and the start of their Year 12 journey with Orientation in weeks 7 and 8. This is an important step for the students to start their Unit 3/4 subjects off in a positive manner and to be as prepared for 2026 as possible! Well done to Year 11 team leaders Karen Lee and Belinda Wehl who have worked positively with the Year 11 cohort to set them up for a great Year 12.

Thanks to everyone involved in the senior school this year, and good luck to all of our students in 2026!
