Congratulations Aaden!

Aaden competed at the School Sport Australia Aquatic Games in Brisbane, proudly representing Western Australia and Mazenod College.

 

It was a demanding five days of competition, beginning with an athlete education session and talks from Olympians, followed by the Opening Ceremony and four full days of racing.

Aaden swam in:

  • 4 heats
  • 4 finals
  • 3 timed finals
  • 4 relays

His efforts were rewarded with:

  1. 9 personal bests
  2. 4th place in the 200m freestyle, just 0.01 seconds off Bronze
  3. Bronze in the 100m Breaststroke
  4. Bronze in the 50m Freestyle
  5. Gold in the 100m Freestyle with a time of 54.12 seconds

Congratulations Riley!

Well done to Riley (Year 12 Boarder) who won the overall 6km race in the Port Hedland Shore Run which was held last weekend.


Congratulations Travis!

Congratulations to Travis in Year 10 who has been selected in the Australian team to compete in Japan this September. The AusCycling Academy team is made up of promising young cyclists across all states and territories.

 

The Category 3 Cross Country Event will be held in the Ecopia Forrest in Shimonoseki City, Fukasaka and provides valuable international racing experience in a high-quality environment.

 

To earn his place, Travis had to compete in seve races over East, with race venues including Canberra, Bendigo and Mount Buller. Best of luck in Japan Travis!


Congratulations Henry!

Henry in Year 7 competed in the State Cross Country Championships through Athletics West last Sunday and secured a bronze medal.
