BIKES & E-SCOOTER Road Rules

Dear Parents/Carers and Students
We have received numerous phone calls from concerned residents in our community in reference to students with bicycles, scooters and e-scooters.
Scooters/e-scooters and skateboards are NOT allowed on school grounds
BICYCLES
Ensuring safety begins with the correct equipment. Please ensure your child:
- Wears an approved helmet every time they ride. Helmets must be securely fastened under the chin to be effective.
- Walks their bike on the footpath when approaching and leaving school grounds.
- Walks their bicycle when on school grounds to prevent accidents.
Students not wearing helmets correctly or following these expectations may have their bicycles held by the school until a parent/carer can collect them.
For more information, please review the Department of Education Cycling to and from School Policy.
SCOOTERS/E-SCOOTERS
Skateboards and scooters/e-scooters are not allowed at school and/or on school grounds.
Students using e-scooters must follow all safety and compliance guidelines outlined by VicRoads.
For the latest information, visit E-scooters in Victoria: VicRoads.
Student not following these school rules and laws may have their scooters/e-scooters held by the school until a parent/carer can collect them.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our school community safe.
Regards
