Confirmation
Our Confirmation ceremonies were a beautiful celebration, with our well prepared candidates showing that lovely balance of nerves and excitement as they received the Sacrament. It was wonderful to see the range of inspiring saints they had chosen and to have them so beautifully accompanied by our Year 5 choir and parish choir.
Bishop Greg shared a great story about the “Remind Me Later” option that kept appearing when his phone needed an update. For five years he kept pressing it, partly because he was worried it might be a scam, until eventually his phone was barely working. He connected this beautifully to our relationship with God. We can keep putting it off and saying “remind me later”, knowing God will still be there, but our faith and relationship with God are much stronger when we give them regular attention rather than waiting until we really need them.
