Hockey Heroes

BSC students represent their region and some get GOLD!

Seven (7) Brunswick Secondary College students represented the North West Metro Region in the Junior State Hockey Championships held on the school holidays - with some returning home with gold.

The North West Metro Tigers had one of their best tournaments yet,  with grand final wins by the Under 16 Boys, Under 14 Girls and Under 16 Girls being celebrating victory. 

Four Brunswick Secondary students won with gold medals while three more earned the honour of representing the North-West Region in the Under 14 Boys team. Games were played at Bendigo and Shepparton hockey centres.

Congratulations to these students, including Elijah Haupstein, Paige Haupstein, Dominic Holmes, Maeve Holthuyzen, Daniel Phillips, Will Summerfield and Toby Whyte. The students play for Brunswick and Essendon Hockey Clubs during the regular season.

The Under 18s State Junior Championship will be held in September so we look forward to more celebration!
