Casual Clothes Day - Thursday 2 April
Parents & Friends Information Session
Many families have asked about the Parents & Friends Association and how they can become more involved in our school community. To help answer these questions, we will be holding a Parents & Friends Information Session on:
Tuesday, 10 March at 9:00 am and
Tuesday, 10 March at 3:00 pm
Both sessions will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room, providing a relaxed opportunity to meet other parents and learn more about the role of the Parents & Friends Association.
Please come along to find out how you can get involved—every small contribution makes a big difference for our students.
Looking forward to seeing you at one of our sessions!
Exciting changes to our Parents & Friends Association
This year, our P&F will look a little different, with a new structure designed to make it easier and more enjoyable for parents to get involved.
Rather than holding regular, formal P&F meetings, the committee will be made up of several sub-committees that focus on specific events and activities throughout the year.
These smaller groups will meet informally at times that suit their members, making it simpler for parents to participate without the commitment of attending ongoing meetings.
Each sub-committee will be supported by an experienced P&F member, who will help guide planning and communication. Some examples of these groups may include:
Mother’s Day Breakfast
Father’s Day Breakfast
Mother's Day Stall
Father's Day Stall
Book Club
Colour Fun Run
Easter Egg Raffle
Welcome BBQ
Canteen & Treat Days
School Disco
Christmas Event, etc…
We warmly invite all parents and carers to be part of one (or more!) of these sub-committees. Whether you can help with planning, set-up, or just lend a hand on the day, your contribution will make a real difference to our school community.
We have THREE remaining events without a co-ordinator.
These events are:
Mother’s day breakfast
Father’s Day Breakfast
Colour fun run
If you would like to run any of these events on behalf of the school, please email parentsfriends@smmaribyrnong.catholic.edu.au .
We believe this new approach will allow for greater flexibility, more opportunities to connect, and a fun, collaborative way to support our school events.
If you’re interested in being part of a team or would like to learn more, please feel free to contact parentsfriends@smmaribyrnong.catholic.edu.au
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm — together we can make this year another wonderful one for our students and families!
Change to Classroom Representatives
In previous years, each classroom has had a Classroom Representative to help share information with parents about upcoming activities and events such as incursions, excursions, dress-up days, and other important occasions.
This year, we will no longer be seeking volunteers for the Classroom Representative role. We kindly encourage all parents to stay informed by regularly checking School Stream notifications, reading our fortnightly newsletter and signs displayed around our school. Your child’s classroom teacher will continue to contact you via email whenever necessary.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
