They also spent time in the Millarri Garden, reflecting on connection to Country and the importance of cultural continuity, before exploring other areas of the museum to broaden their understanding of Australia’s diverse cultural narratives.

For Year 12 Sociology students, the experience supported Unit 3, Outcome 1, deepening their understanding of culture, identity and the social and historical contexts shaping Indigenous experiences.

For all students, the day provided a meaningful opportunity to strengthen cultural understanding and respect through immersive learning.

We would also like to commend students’ behaviour on this day, as they were great representatives of the college, where many members of the public commented on their respectfulness and kindness. Well done!
