What a few big weeks for Seymour College Agriculture!
Our Agriculture students have been busy in the show ring, with fantastic results and experiences at both the Melbourne Royal Show and the Seymour Agricultural Show!
From learning about preparing and presenting cattle to leading steers in the show ring, our students have demonstrated skill, confidence, teamwork, animal husbandry and a genuine passion for agriculture.
A huge congratulations to our VCE Agriculture students on their success at Melbourne Royal, and to our Year 10 students who stepped up at Seymour Agriculture Show and embraced the opportunity to learn, compete and represent Seymour College.
These experiences are about so much more than ribbons. They give our students the opportunity to develop practical skills, build confidence, connect with industry and experience the realities of working in the livestock and broader food and fibre industries.
We are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved.
Could your business help us take Agriculture even further in 2027?
We are looking for agricultural businesses, livestock producers, rural businesses and industry partners to join us in providing authentic opportunities for our students.
Partnerships could include sponsorship, livestock, feed, equipment, mentoring, work experience, industry expertise or other support.
Together, we can help develop the next generation of Victoria’s food and fibre industry.
Interested in partnering with Seymour College Agriculture in 2027?
We would love to hear from you!

Annual Clay Target Championships
On Monday 12 October, five Seymour College students, Aiden, Thom, Sam, Jed and Adam, attended the 42nd Annual Clay Target Championships at Benalla Field and Game. Over 130 students participated, with schools travelling from across Victoria, including Geelong and Mildura.
Although our students fell just short of placing, several achieved impressive scores of over 20 out of 30 targets. All five represented Seymour College with great determination and sportsmanship.
A big thank you to the parents who assisted with transporting students to and from the event!
Hume Region Secondary Athletics
Seymour College had 19 students compete in the Hume Region Athletics in Albury on Tuesday 6 October. We had some great results with most students placing in the top four for their events. Three have progressed to State, and a special mention to Sam for receiving 3rd in the Age Champion.
