ITALIAN LANGUAGE ASSISTANT PROGRAM TERM 3

Hello everyone! My name is Patrizia, and I come from Italy. I was born and raised in Brescia, a city in the north of Italy. I have a Bachelor’s degree in foreign languages and literature, and in a few months I will receive my Master’s degree in Translation. As well as Italian, I speak English and Spanish and a little French too.  I will be volunteering at Mazenod College during Term 3 as an Italian Assistant teacher by working together with Mrs Raschella and Miss Aguilar. Not only am I looking forward to helping the students with their Italian, but I also want to improve my fluency in English during this experience. Since arriving, I have been welcomed by so many friendly people, the ‘Ryder’ family who are hosting me, and the staff and students at Mazenod College. I cannot wait to explore the surroundings and create long-lasting memories in Perth!

Buongiorno a tutti! Mi chiamo Patrizia e sono italiana. Sono nata e cresciuta a Brescia, una citta’ nel Nord Italia. Ho una laurea triennale in lingue e letterature straniere e tra pochi mesi otterro’ la laurea magistrale in traduzione. Parlo inglese, spagnolo e un pochino di francese. Per i prossimi due mesi saro’ al Mazenod college per fare l’assistente linguistico collaborando con la Professoressa Raschella e la Professoressa Aguilar. Non vedo l’ora di poter aiutare gli studenti a imparare l’italiano, cercando al tempo stesso di migliorare il mio inglese durante questa esperienza. Da quando sono arrivata a Perth, sono stata accolta a braccia aperte sia dalla  famiglia ‘Ryder’ che mi ospita, sia dai colleghi e dagli studenti del Mazenod College. Sono pronta a esplorare i dintorni e a costruire dei ricordi che rimarranno per sempre nel mio cuore!
